Lessons will be in Java, for the following reasons:
- It is and was the language used in most of my college and university courses
- It is the language I know best
- It can be used on PC/Mac/Linux/UNIX
- It is free
- It is very easy to read and understand
- It has a solid base library
- Editors and developing environments are free and easy to use
